The Fall trip was great, we spent Saturday night in the parking lot of WD Lawrence House in Maitland on the Noel Shore, we took a tour of the museum, then decided to fish the pond, what a disappointment, the pond has completely grown in and now instead of great trout fishing, its become a Ducks Unlimited pond, you walk near the pond and hundreds and hundreds of ducks darken the sky. It was a beautiful sight and we got some video footage, but it used to be a great fishing spot many years ago! Trish had caught her first ever trout there eight years ago! Sunday we headed for Phinney Cove on the Bay of Fundy also, north of Bridgetown in the Valley, just above Paradise. Quiet, quiet, quiet except for the roll of the waves at high tide. A pleasant place to relax and unwind! The next night we camped right on the LaHave River above New Germany, Paul caught a few perch. All in all a relaxing three days to celebrate our eighth anniversary! Don't foresee anymore motorhome trips until early March when we leave for Florida, then again who knows?

Planning a Fall trip to the Bay of Fundy , Phinneys Cove to be more exact, the beach, the quiet, the stars, the bonfires, the isolation, what a treat. The trip will include a drive to Noel Shore, maybe some trout fishing, definitely some seashell collecting, and sleeps where it's quiet, quiet ,quiet!

Talk about co-incidence, when we were in a campground near Jacksonville, Florida last winter,we met a couple and chatted with them, they told us they would be coming to Nova Scotia next summer to see the Tattoo, we gave them our address and said they should look us up, the week of the Tattoo co-incided with our obligation to go to Yarmouth county for our annual campground hosting for the province, the park was closed for a few days because of Hurricane Arthur, we opted for a private campground, while registering,I turned to see the guy from Florida, also registering, I asked if him if they had tried to contact us in Chester, he said no, but we spent the evening talking about the co-incidence of tying up with them anyway!

We've decided on a new blog, new motorhome - new blog, we started out five years ago with See the USA,on Ninety-nine dollars a day, then went on to Home sweet Highway. The truck and camper days are gone, we have graduated, just step out of the driver's seat, right into our living room, don't even have to get out in the rain to go back and pee! The luxury takes some getting used to, but we will adjust.
Our first trip here at home was to Ellenwood lake in Yarmouth County,Nova Scotia, for our annual campground hosting duties! What a great park, it's a jewel in the wilderness! Our first southern USA trip probably won't take place until March of 2015. That way we extend our summer three months on the front end, not coming back to the Maritimes until it's good and hot! Trish will put some photos on soon but let me take you on a tour. Right behind the driver's seat is the dining table, then the kitchenette, complete with double-sink, microwave ,three burner stove and oven, lots of cupboard space. Then there is the large fridge and freezer! Then you step into the hallway to the bedroom, here is a sink, across from the bathroom, which contains a bathtub, small tub but comfortable. At the rear is a full bedroom with Queen size mattress, and again lots storage space and closets! All in all, thirty two feet of pure luxury, no climbing, no more camper dance. Instead of dancing around each other, we could almost dance with each other! As long as it's a slow waltz!
