We moved on Jan 1st to Falcon Lake RV Park, closer to town, swimming pool, fishing on the lake, we have been here 10 weeks now and the 1st of April will pull out for our trip home, about 3000 miles for us ,we don't use interstates! The temps lately have been in high eighties, low nineties, spend a lot of time in air conditioning and in the pool, when we start home we will notice prices go up and up, 'til we get to NS,where they are ridiculous! Groceries, beer, wine, gas are all half what they are at home! Here I go again, 30 beer, 20.00,.home 50.00 ,wine here $3. per liter, home $10.00, A Cdn gallon of gas here $1.80. Even with the exchange, we save money, Cdn banks charge 12 cents to exchange each and every dollar.Used to be banks got robbed, now they rob you and I ! Camping is $7.25 cents a day, yes that includes elec, sewage, water!
Looking forward to settling in Amherst, plan to do some campground hosting this summer, all around the province!

We have had a wonderful month at Falcon Lake RV Park, we walk to the grocery store, we visited the Zapata County Museam, the main thing we learned is that the Spanish were the original cowboys, you and I always seen the movie stars and thought white guys in white hats were the real thing. Vacqueros were the first and taught Texans and others the way of Vaca (cows)! We left for a few days to see an old friend, Jimmy Flynn was performing in McAllen. We had a great day, then back home to Zapata, we have adopted this town, or maybe they have adopted us, we went to a skeet shoot, sure different out in the bush and mesquite, most ,if not all of our skeet clubs are near the ocean, with real ducks flying by while you shoot.

We moved to another park closer to town, free TV and Wi-Fi, swimming pool, access to fishing, It's called Falcon Lake RV Park, we can walk to the grocery store, bank, post office. Really convenient. $185.00 per month. Met a few really nice people, the campground owner is an electrical contractor, he wants me to accompany him to a skeet shoot soon on a Saturday, they also have a chili cook-off. Met another gentleman from Arkansas, he has taken me out fishing a few times, caught some nice largemouth bass. We also met a man from Lima ,Peru, his last name is Zapata, so he felt he had to visit Zapata, he lives in New York and travels the world as a Latin-American Consultant . We've had a few cold beers and some interesting conversation, he told us he dreamed of being the President of Peru as a high school student, but has since dropped that silly idea, South American politics can get serious, sidearm serious!
